Atilla DAMCI, Gul POLAT, Firat Dogu AKIN, Harun TURKOGLU

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2022, Volume 9, Issue 1,   Pages 135-147 doi: 10.1007/s42524-020-0118-0

Abstract: The management of resources has been claimed to be as important as scheduling methods.Inefficiency in managing resources may bring about severe delays and cost overruns caused by resourceResource leveling is one of the approaches that are used for the management of resources.Although the main principle behind traditional resource leveling is achieving an even flow of resourcesThe model is demonstrated by constructing a network and its resource utilization histograms.

Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 2,   Pages 35-40

Abstract:

In the project scheduling and management, the time-resource tradeoff problem is to seek the objectivecost under the requirement of the absolute due date of project, and determine an efficient project schedulingaccording to some precedence relationship and the renewable resource constraints.A new multi-objective optimization decision-making model with time-resource tradeoff problem is proposedthis two-player game are given in the corresponding Lagrangian relaxation form associated with the resource

The origins of schedule management: the concepts used in planning, allocating, visualizing and managing

Lynda M. BOURNE, Patrick WEAVER

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2018, Volume 5, Issue 2,   Pages 150-166 doi: 10.15302/J-FEM-2018012

Abstract: Getting the in the at the has always been a major organizational challenge. In ancient times this process seems to have been accomplished based on the scheme of arrangements being contained in the leader’s mind and instructions communicated verbally. Modern approaches to solving the twin challenges of first thinking through the ‘plan’ and then communicating the plan to the people who need to do ‘ ’ use sophisticated graphics, charts, diagrams, and computations. This paper traces the development of the concepts most project managers take for granted including bar charts and critical path schedules from their origins (which are far earlier than most people think) through to the modern day. The first section of the paper looks at the development of concepts that allow the visualization of time and other data. The second looks at the shift from static representations to dynamic modeling through the emergence of computers, dynamic calculations and integrated data from the 1950s to the present time.
